In this 2-4 player board game, players take on the role of highly advanced robots who found their own robot cult to ultimately fight for world domination. Recruit followers, gather resources, become stronger, and challenge the boss.


My Responsibility:
In this board game project, I served as Game Designer and Project Documentarian. My role was not only to develop the core mechanics and rulebook but also to maintain a clear record of all design iterations. I was responsible for ensuring that the gameplay remained balanced and that the project documentation served as a reliable 'single source of truth' for the entire team.

The Challenge: 
As this was our first collaborative project, we faced the challenge of aligning widely differing expectations. With team members having varying levels of experience in board games, the project's scope quickly began to inflate. Conflicting ideas regarding complexity and content threatened the overall feasibility, leading to a fragmented design process and an oversized game concept.

The Solution: 
To regain focus, I initiated a series of alignment workshops to establish a shared vision for the game's core experience. I acted as a mediator, using transparent communication to evaluate each feature's impact on the overall flow. By leading a rigorous de-scoping process, we removed non-essential elements for the sake of the gameplay. This allowed us to channel our resources into a polished, varied, and fun experience that remained both complex enough for enthusiasts and accessible for new players.
