Local troops fight in the Vietnamese jungle in the 1960s, using guerrilla tactics against the Americans' strategic campaign, with the help of mythical creatures from their culture. In this tactical RTS, take control of either the American soldiers or the Vietcong to defend your homeland from the invaders.
My Responsibility:
As the Lead Producer and Sound Designer, I was responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle while simultaneously crafting the game's auditory identity. My primary role was to synchronize cross-departmental workflows and maintain the production roadmap, ensuring that the creative vision remained aligned with technical constraints and the final deadline.
The Challenge:
The project faced a critical threat due to a "zero-redundancy" team structure where individual absences immediately stalled entire departments. This was compounded by a significant mismatch between the ambitious initial scope and the actual resource availability. These bottlenecks created a high-pressure environment that jeopardized both the development timeline and the overall stability of the build.
The Solution:
I spearheaded a rigorous "Pivot-to-Polish" strategy, implementing an aggressive de-scoping process to protect the core gameplay and ensure a deliverable product. To compensate for production gaps, I personally expanded my technical involvement, teaching myself and implementing the entire sound system and VFX directly within the engine. By restructuring the remaining tasks into high-priority milestones and facilitating clearer communication channels, I stabilized the development pipeline and successfully steered the project to a polished release.
